Potential council candidate Andrew Fletcher praised Asheville’s elected officials for backing the bill, and said “what you may not know is I’ve been arrested for marijuana possession. And a lot of people like me have become victims of an unjust war.”
Fletcher chaired a high-profile committee looking at the use of city-owned downtown land at 68 Haywood and said he is considering running for council.
